The Farmstead School

We partnered with the Farmstead School in 2026 to create an intergenerational school of agroecology dedicated to uplifting the next generation of land stewards. Our programs give participants the chance to learn in a real, hands-on context, designing, implementing, and tending diverse farm systems on 5 acres in Niwot. We currently serve the on-site, farm-based middle school, host adult intensive courses, and provide hands-on field trips for college students. Starting in 2027, this will also be home to our volunteer membership program and a high school permaculture design certification course.

Volunteer Memberships

Become a volunteer member at the Niwot Homestead. The Niwot Homestead is our founding location and a case study in community-powered agriculture. Every Sunday from 10am-1pm March-November, members are invited to participate in the full spectrum of activities it takes to run a working homestead. After each work day, members share a farm-to-table meal and take home extra produce, eggs, and sometimes meat. A flexible, accessible way to connect with community and get hands-on experience in agroecology and homesteading.
